Education

Jewish Healdsburg currently operates the only weekly Hebrew School in northern Sonoma County. The school meets on Sunday mornings, and the curriculum is designed for kids aged 5-14. Throughout the year students will study the Hebrew language, and will learn about Jewish history, Jewish culture, and more. Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation also is available. We always welcome new students.

The school is run by Irene Hodes, a Healdsburg resident and is currently the associate director of development for the JCRC Bay Area. Irene is the former director of cultural events for JCC Sonoma County, and was the director of the Sonoma County Jewish Film Festival and Israeli Film Festival. She lived in Israel for seven years.
